Η πιανίστα Κατερίνα Κωνσταντούρου επικεντρώνεται στη σύγχρονη μουσική και το μουσικό θέατρο. Είναι μέλος του συνόλου σύγχρονης μουσικής ΤΕΤΤΤΙΞ, του τρίο ελεύθερου αυτοσχεδιασμού Φλούδια με τους Στέλιο Μίχα και Νίκο Καρύδη και του ντούο τέσσερα κάππα με τον ακορντεονίστα Κωνσταντίνο Ράπτη. Έχει συμπράξει με διάφορα σύνολα (Utrechts Blazers Ensemble, Nieuw Ensemble, Ensemble Looptail, Emanon Ensemble) κι έχει συνεργαστεί με πολλούς νέους Έλληνες και ξένους συνθέτες, αλλά και προηγούμενης γενιάς, όπως ο Γιάννης Ιωαννίδης και ο Γιώργος Απέργης. Έχει παρουσιάσει την πρεμιέρα πολυάριθμων έργων για σόλο πιάνο, για σύνολο καθώς και έργα μουσικού θεάτρου. Έργα γι’ αυτήν έχουν γραφτεί από τους Γιώργο Βάβουλα, Νίκο Ιωακείμ, Παύλο Κατσιβέλη, Μιχάλη Παρασκάκη, Σταμάτη Πασόπουλο, Miranda Driessen, Frank Nuyts και Katarzyna Szwed.
Έχει συνεργαστεί με τους συνθέτες Σταμάτη Πασόπουλο, Μιχάλη Παρασκάκη, Θανάση Δεληγιάννη, Θάνο Πολυμενέα-Λιοντήρη και Δημήτρη Καμαρωτό σε έργα μουσικού θεάτρου, με τη χορογράφο Eugenia M. Demeglio και με τους σκηνοθέτες Νίκο Κορνήλιο, Δάφνη Χαιρετάκη, Κωνσταντίνο Σαμαρά και Θωμά Μοσχόπουλο σε κινηματογραφικές ταινίες και στο θέατρο.
Έχει εμφανιστεί σε συναυλίες και φεστιβάλ στην Ελλάδα, την Ολλανδία, το Βέλγιο, την Ισπανία και την Αγγλία (Πολυχώρος ΚΕΤ, Στέγη Ιδρύματος Ωνάση, Εναλλακτική Σκηνή της Εθνικής Λυρικής Σκηνής, Φεστιβάλ Αθηνών, Φεστιβάλ Λατρευτικής Μουσικής, Thessaloniki Soloist Festival, Vredenburg Utrecht, Muziekgebouw aan ‘t Ij και Concertgebouw Amsterdam, De Doelen Rotterdam, De Bijloke Gent κ.α.)
Έχει ηχογραφήσει δύο σονάτες για πιάνο του Frank Nuyts που κυκλοφόρησαν σε δίσκο ακτίνας. Με το τρίο Φλούδια έβγαλαν το πρώτο τους άλμπουμ το 2022. Το 2016 τής απονεμήθηκε το βραβείο της Ένωσης Ελλήνων Θεατρικών και Μουσικών Κριτικών σε νέο/πρωτοεμφανιζόμενο καλλιτέχνη.
Πήρε το δίπλωμά της στο Εθνικό Ωδείο με τον Ίγκορ Ταρασάνσκι και Master’s με τον Martyn van den Hoek στο Κονσερβατόριο της Ουτρέχτης. Η Κατερίνα είναι επίσης απόφοιτος του Παιδαγωγικού Τμήματος Δημοτικής Εκπαίδευσης του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών κι έχει εργαστεί ως δασκάλα στην πρωτοβάθμια εκπαίδευση.
Συνδυάζοντας τη μουσική και την εκπαιδευτική της ιδιότητα έχει σχεδιάσει και υλοποιήσει μουσικά εργαστήρια και παραστάσεις μουσικού θεάτρου για παιδιά και νέους, μεταξύ άλλων το «Ο Κύριος Βι» στo Big Bang Festival (Στέγη Ωνάση) και το «Ένα παραμύθι από το αυτί» στο Μουσείο Βορρέ. Επίσης έχει συμμετάσχει σε εκπαιδευτικά προγράμματα της Εθνικής Λυρικής Σκηνής. Δίδαξε πιάνο για επτά έτη στο μουσικό εργαστήρι De Pianoladder στο Laren της Ολλανδίας.

Pianist Katerina Konstantourou was born in Athens, Greece. From 2004 and until 2017 she lived in Utrecht, The Netherlands.
She focuses on contemporary music and music theatre. She has performed with numerous ensembles and artists and is a founding member of the contemporary music ensemble TETTTIX, the free improvisation trio Floudia with Stelios Mihas and Nikos Karydis, and duo tessera kappa with accordionist Konstantinos Raptis. She has worked with both young composers and those of the previous generation, such as Yannis Ioannidis and Georges Aperghis. Katerina has given the premieres of many new works for solo piano, for ensemble and for musical theatre. Works have been written for her by Miranda Driessen, Nikos Ioakeim, Pavlos Katsivelis, Frank Nuyts, Michalis Paraskakis, Stamatis Pasopoulos, Katarzyna Szwed and Giorgos Vavoulas. She has collaborated with stage and film directors and choreographers on theatre, dance, film and performance/installation projects.
She has appeared in concerts and festivals in Greece, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, and the UK (KET TV Control Center, Onassis Stegi, Alternative Stage of the Greek National Opera, Athens Festival, Sacred Music Festival GNO, Thessaloniki Soloists Festival, Vredenburg Utrecht, Muziekgebouw aan ‘t Ij and Concertgebouw Amsterdam, De Doelen Rotterdam, De Bijloke Gent, etc.).
She has recorded two piano sonatas by Frank Nuyts, released on CD, and with Floudia they released their first album in 2022. In 2016, she was awarded the Young/emerging Artist Prize by the Union of Greek Critics for Drama and Music.
She has studied with Igor Taraschansky at the National Conservatory in Athens (Piano Diploma) and with Martyn van den Hoek at the Utrecht Conservatory (Master of music in Performance). She holds a BA from the University of Athens in Pedagogy and Primary Education and has worked as a teacher in primary schools.
Combining her musical and educational pursuits, she has devised and conducted music workshops and music theater performances for children and youths, including “Mister V” at the Big Bang Festival (Onassis Stegi) and “A tale to be heard” at the Vorres Museum. She has additionally participated in educational programs of the Greek National Opera. She taught piano for seven years at the music lab De Pianoladder in Laren, Netherlands.
